Modi Lifting Solutions represent ourselves as Mahadev Wire Rope Dealer and have specialized in supplying Mahadev Wire Rope and Asahi Wire Rope with Galvanized and UN-Galvanized multi strands Steel Wire Rope. Our range of Wire Ropes are manufactured and tested under as per IS Standards. Our Range includes both Steel Core and Fiber Core Wire Ropes. We stock Wire Ropes from 8mm to 52mm in various constructions including 6X19, 6X36, 8X19, 35X7 and others with Steel and Fiber Core options. Apart from this, we also deals in Stainless Steel Wire Ropes and PVC Coated Wire Ropes.
Wire Ropes with Construction 6X19 and 6X36 are commonly used for General Engineering Purposes. These Wire Ropes are very reliable and commonly used throughout many sectors. In the lifting and rigging industries, wire rope is attached to a crane or hoist and fitted with swivels, shackles or hooks to attach to a load and move it in a controlled matter.
There are four basic components that make up the design of a finished wire rope:
1. Wires made from metal that form a singular strand
2. Multi-wire strands laid around a core in a helical pattern
3. Fiber or Steel Core
Wire Rope with different surface finishing:
Zinc coated (galvanized), zinc/aluminum alloy coated (mischmetal), stainless steel, or unfinished steel (“bright”).
What is the ISI Code of Wire Rope?
ISI Code of General Engineering Wire Rope is 2266:2002
Difference between Fiber Core and Steel Core?
A fiber core can be made of natural or synthetic polypropylene fibers. Fiber cores offer greater elasticity than a steel core but are more susceptible to crushing and not recommended for high heat environments. A steel core can be an independent wire rope or an individual strand. Steel cores are best suited for applications where a fiber core may not provide adequate support, or in an operating environment where temperatures could exceed 180° F.
What are the sizes available in Wire Rope?
Generally, the size range of Wire Rope starts from 1 MM and goes upto as per the requirement of Customers’ demand. Each MM or the size of Wire Rope has a different Load Lifting Capacity in other words we can say Safe Working Load (S.W.L.) and the Breaking Load is always 5 Times Greater Than the Safe Working load. Before buying any particular Wire Rope you must know the Dia or the Weight of the object you are lifting.
